London, UK (23 March 2016): Specialist underwriter Hiscox MGA has announced the expansion of its Marine Services underwriting team with the hire of Roger Duchamp as Senior Yachts and Marine Trades Underwriter.
Joining Hiscox with a brief to further develop the company’s Mediterranean network, Duchamp will initially be based in the company’s Paris office, working closely with London-based Director of Underwriting Paul Miller.
Duchamp joins Hiscox from AXA, where he managed the company’s Yacht division following ten years as a senior hull and P&I underwriter.
Commenting on the new appointment, Paul said: “Roger is a well-known and respected lead underwriter in the yacht market with highly specialised knowledge of our clients’ needs in the Mediterranean. He will help realise our ambition to further develop our Mediterranean account and service this business where the risks and producers are located. This will be particularly beneficial in our pursuit of business not typically placed in London.”
