Actuarial programme

Thinking about a career as an actuary? We’ve got a training programme for that.

Our three-year UK-based actuarial programme will build on the skills and technical knowledge you gained from university – you’ll be applying these to the insurance world from the day you join us.

We offer a comprehensive training programme combining in-house courses with specialist external ones. You’ll be supported through your actuarial exams and enjoy rotations across the different actuarial functions including pricing and capital management.

A passion for travel? Then you’ll be delighted to hear that our actuarial programme offers the possibility of an overseas placement to one of our offices in the US, Bermuda or continental Europe.

This programme is for me: what qualifications do I need?

To qualify for our actuarial programme we expect you to have a solid academic record in actuarial science, business, economics, engineering, finance, maths or statistics, and have achieved, or be expecting to achieve, 320 UCAS points and at least a 2:1 degree.

You will also meet the entry requirements of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. For more information, click here (external link).

Any other requirements?

This programme is based in the UK and you must have an unrestricted right to work here without the support of a work visa. Able to speak and write fluently in business English, you will also be numerate, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills while also sharing our company values.
