London, UK (5 December 2016): Specialist global insurer Hiscox has announced the appointment of Chris Holt as a consultant in its Special Risks business.
Chris has held previous appointments at Aon and JLT within their global crisis management practices, and is one of the industry’s leading consultants in the management of terrorism and kidnap for ransom (K&R) risks. During Chris’ first career as an Officer in the British Army, he served in bomb disposal and counter terrorism roles, and his crisis management expertise is built on this foundation. Working exclusively with Hiscox on K&R and related perils, he will be involved in product innovation and work with existing teams to support clients with complex exposures.
Commenting on the appointment, Rob Davies, CEO of Hiscox Special Risks, said: “Chris has an absolute wealth of experience in K&R which we will really benefit from. He is extremely well respected and is one of the most innovative and forward-thinking individuals in his field. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”
Chris added: “I’m delighted to be working with the world’s market leader in K&R insurance. Today’s risk environment is both challenging and rapidly evolving, but our depth of experience, specialist expertise and exclusive relationships mean we are uniquely placed to help our clients prepare for and respond to any situation or threat.”
Hiscox Special Risks brings together the different teams from across the Hiscox Group that focus on special risks, including kidnap and ransom, private client fine art and executive security. Led from Guernsey, the division includes teams in London, Cologne, Munich, Paris, New York, Los Angeles and Miami. This approach allows us to provide better service and up-to-the-minute products to corporate and personal customers in the increasingly volatile world in which we live and work.
