Our employee networks

We’re delighted to have a number of employee networks across Hiscox, each of them open to all employees who wish to join. Here’s a flavour of what’s going on around the Group:

Women at Hiscox (UK, USA and Bermuda)

With groups in the UK, USA and Bermuda, the networks aim to make Hiscox a more inclusive place to work, more supportive of gender differences and ultimately give women and men the tools and opportunities they need to maximise their workplace potential.

WeMind (UK, USA/Bermuda and Europe)

WeMind promotes mental health awareness and supports employee wellness. They introduced mental health awareness training and mental health first aiders to the company and run a range of events on topics such as coping with stress and the importance of a balanced diet. There’s a range of wellness activities at our larger UK offices too – ranging from Pilates and yoga through to ‘walk and talk’ meet ups and mindfulness sessions.

UK Parents helps working parents connect with each other by building networks across locations, sharing real life stories and acting as a forum and information source for parents, parents-to-be or those going through a big change like their children going to nursery or starting school.

Parents and caregivers (USA and Bermuda)

Created as a safe space for people with children or others in their care to connect with others, the Parents and Caregivers network raises awareness of issues and shares new ideas through events, news and information.

Latino (USA)

With members across our different offices in the US, the Latino network offers members the chance to take part in charitable events, network and raise brand awareness in the local communities where Hiscox is based (as an employer and insurance provider).

Generation Hiscox (USA)

With a workforce soon to span five generations, Generation Hiscox brings together both experienced and young professionals to look at the most effective ways of communicating with each other and ultimately help create a better Hiscox.

Pride (global)

The network cultivates an environment around the Group that empowers people to connect with others across the business. It advocates LGBT+ friendly employer policies, diversity training and social responsibility by sharing the benefits of diversity and living the Hiscox values.

Pan African employee network (global)

The network supports employees of African-descent in their professional development and advancement at Hiscox through introductions to insurance-related professional organisations and mentoring/coaching programmes. They also seek to increase the cultural awareness of all employees by observing days specific to people of African-descent such as Black History Month and Juneteenth.
