Krzysztof Grzybacz is a polish artist who lives and works in Kraków. Inspired by the surrealist and expressive style of Polish cinema he grew up with; his subjects shift between the every day and the fantastical. Grzybacz brings an unusual sensitivity to his canvases, where erasure, sponging, and improvisation replace layering and overthinking. His work is often an observation of moments of everyday life, ones that would generally go unnoticed, through which he examines the meaning of existence and what comes next. This series focuses on flowers, both their importance in the history of painting but also their meaning in relation to the LGBTQ community.
