Benedetto Pietromarchi’s ceramics blur the line between the natural and the man-made, and highlight humankind’s impact on the environment. Untitled 1 is a ceramic sculpture of a severed iron pipe that is encrusted with foliage and sprouting with flowers. Nature has overtaken machinery and transformed something cold and functional into a beguiling object of beauty.
