John Riddy’s photographs are recognisable for their architectural symmetry and formal precision. The particularities of a place and the urban environment have been ongoing subjects for Riddy. Working consistently in series, he has created studies of urban architecture and rural landscapes in countries such as Japan, Italy, South Africa and the United States. In all his images, including Valencia (Port), there is a focus on texture and surface, and a classical structure of fore, middle and background.
