    The biggest UK broker event of the year is fast approaching, and me and the rest of the Hiscox team are feeling excited and energised for BIBA 2014.

    This will be my first BIBA in my new role as Managing Director of our broker channel, so I’m looking forward to explaining to our key brokers what this means for them and the benefits that it will bring.

    We’ve always had strong bonds with brokers and a relentless focus on service; that won’t change.  Our aim is to build on that and improve our pricing capabilities and products to ensure we’re as targeted as we can be on those lines of business that are attractive to us.

    Hiscox Group had a great year last year, and our broker business had its best year ever, showing 16% profitable growth.  Our broker survey results gave us a net promoter score of 52%, compared to a market average of -8%.

    This is a promising base to build out from.  Yes we are unashamedly a specialist insurer and we will remain a specialist insurer, but what truly sets us apart from the competition is our expert underwriting, superb service and powerful brand.

    That’s what we’ll be showcasing on our stand this year (we’re at C38 – please do pay us a visit).  Our stand theme is our take on an Airfix kit; it brings to life our product offering as well as our areas of expertise, and we’ll have experienced art and private client, motor, schemes, and professions and specialty commercial underwriters on hand to discuss your requirements.
